I’ve been in Croatia for around a year, now. I’m lucky enough that my fianceé is Croatian, and I had the opportunity to move abroad.
It’s a really beautiful country, with a lot of differences in culture and people depending on where you are.
I’ve been living near the mountains, just outside of Zagreb. I have a great view from our (small) balcony of the Medvednica mountain, and the right balance of urban and rural.
I moved here in part because I was hoping to find a bit more balance in my life. I think I’ve moved in the right direction. I still work a lot, but I have also found more downtime. I’d say I’ve found the balance, but there’s always more to find.
